The Book of Oa

Four-panel comic. To spare Green Lantern from DC's New 52 reboot, Geoff Johns pitches Dan DiDio a version where Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner go door to door like missionaries asking to talk about the Book of Oa, and promptly get the door slammed in their faces. DiDio decides to leave the Green Lantern books as is, which was Johns' plan all along.

Panel 1. Caption: "How Geoff Johns spared the Green Lanterns from the "New 52" reboot..." Geoff Johns, in a green "HAL'S M'BOY" shirt, bursts in on Dan DiDio at his computer: "Dan! I've got the pitch for the GL reboot..." Panel 2. Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner stand on a doorstep in white shirts and green ties, holding out a green book stamped with a lantern symbol: "Hello! We'd like a few minutes of your time to talk to you about the book of Oa!" A blond hero answers the door. Panel 3. SLAM! The door slams in the Lanterns' faces. Panel 4. Dan DiDio grumbles: "Y'know... let's just leave them "as is"." Geoff Johns smirks and thinks: "YES!"
