X-Men Kids: Charlie vs Erik

Eleven-panel comic retelling the Xavier and Magneto feud as a Peanuts strip. Young Erik pulls the football away Lucy-style, young Charlie flips and hits the ground with a spine-cracking SNAP, and Erik ends up pelted with the ball and laughed at in his I WAS RIGHT t-shirt. In the present day, adult Magneto sheds a single tear. The whole rivalry started over a football.

Panel 1. Young Cyclops and a girl in classic yellow-and-black X-Men gear plead: "It doesn't have to be this way, Magneto!" Panel 2. Magneto glowers: "YES IT DOES." Panel 3. Flashback, drawn Peanuts style. A round-headed kid holding a football calls: "Hey, Charlie! Wanna kick the football?" Panel 4. Young Charlie, bald with an X on his shirt, beams: "Like fun I do!" Panel 5. Charlie charges toward the ball. Panel 6. Charlie flips through the air: "WAAAAGH!" as the kid yanks the football away. Panel 7. Charlie lands flat on his back: "ACCK!!!" Sound effect: "SNAP!" Panel 8. A furious kid grips the football and winds up to throw. Panel 9. Young Erik stands stunned in a t-shirt reading "I WAS RIGHT," with a small sound effect: "Pel." Panel 10. The other kids point and howl: "HA! HA! HA! HA!" at Erik in his "I WAS RIGHT" shirt. Panel 11. Present day: a single tear rolls down adult Magneto's cheek.
