Star Wars: Feel the Force

Five-panel comic. A robot excitedly watches the new Star Wars Blu-ray only to discover George Lucas has re-edited it for the Twilight crowd: Darth Vader is sparkly pink, Han Solo waves a comically oversized blaster, Leia asks if someone sparkles in daylight, and the medal ceremony is now a mash-up number. The robot gives up and digs out its VHS tapes.

Transcript of “Star Wars: Feel the Force”

Panel 1. The blue robot, clutching a tub of popcorn, cheers: "ALRIGHT! Star Wars on Blu-Ray! The Force is with ME!!!" Panel 2. On the theater screen, Darth Vader appears recolored a sparkly pink between two stormtroopers. From his seat the robot says: "Well, THAT's an interesting way to hit a new demo." Panel 3. On screen, Han Solo angrily brandishes a comically huge ornate blaster beside Chewbacca. The robot says: "Overcompensating much, Mr. Lucas?" Panel 4. On screen, Luke and Leia stand with a stormtrooper. The robot says: "She did NOT just ask if he sparkles in the daylight..." Panel 5. On screen, Chewbacca, Luke, Leia, and Han celebrate with medals while C-3PO and R2-D2 dance. The robot says: "A Mash-Up number??? That's it. I'm digging out my VCR and VHS tapes."
