Smurf Smurfing

Five-panel comic about the Smurfs. Papa Smurf announces that since Smurfette is the only girl in the village, breeding season has begun, at which point Smurfette transforms with a horrible SPULCH into a giant spider monster and asks which boy is up first. A deadpan Handy Smurf declares they call him Handy for a reason and heads back to his shroom.

Transcript of “Smurf Smurfing”

Panel 1. Papa Smurf addresses a crowd of Smurfs with Smurfette at his side: "Now, I know a number of you have been wanting to smurf Smurfette for awhile now. As you noticed she's the only girl here... Well, here's your chance..." Panel 2. In two quick frames, Smurfette convulses with a "SPULCH!" and a "RRAAGG" as she transforms into something monstrous. Panel 3. Papa Smurf finishes cheerfully: "...because it's breeding season!" Panel 4. Smurfette, now a giant spider-like monster looming over a mushroom house, calls out: "Ok, boys! Who's up first?" Papa Smurf grins beside her as the crowd panics. Panel 5. Handy Smurf, pencil behind his ear, mutters to a horrified neighbor: "Smurf this. They call me Handy for a reason. I'll be in my shroom."
